  • Overview

    To support Engineering projects and the Engineering Systems and Governance team mission by working to identify, evaluate and document requirements for business process change, ensure these requirements are translated into effective solutions, and provide process support to project users throughout the business. This position will have direct influence on the processes and technology your engineering and other business colleagues will use to design, build and maintain TDW's world class products.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure current engineering processes are mapped and analyzed for relevant technologies and locations through appropriate workshops and Kaizen activities -
    • Develop and optimize new or updated engineering processes for global consistency -
    • Ensure the requirements of the relevant departments are understood, documented, considered and implemented where possible for global consistency -
    • Identify, define and communicate the benefits and outcomes of improved and new processes -
    • Preparing affected business areas and individuals for transition to new ways of working, including the running of process implementation and user education workshops -
    • Assist with the solving of process-related problems as related to quality and efficiency -
    • Lead the user preparation and participation in requirements-gathering workshops including business goals, processes, decision criteria, and end user requirements -
    • Working with and supporting the project team to ensure smooth integration of business process into appropriate engineering systems -
    • Assist with the assessment, selection and implementation of engineering tools (PLM, CAD, CAM, CAE, etc.) -
    • Assist with the development of training materials and delivery of training as appropriate -
    • Function as team lead for project system architects - Assist Engineering Systems Governance Director in resource needs, project prioritization and tracking of progress -
    • Represent project team in meetings -
    • Serve as liaison between the program's technical personnel and the users of the project system -
    • Conduct audits, generate reports of findings and manage appropriate engineering dashboards to monitor compliance with TDW Global Engineering Standards -
    • Audit the adherence to TDW standards of structured processes necessary for the successful design, development, testing and deployment of systems

    Qualifications

    • Technical Bachelor’s Degree required, 
    • 10 Years of experience required, 
    • Strong organization skills and rigor. Ability to work in a team environment on fast moving projects 
    • High knowledge of TDW products and services 
    • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, PM Software, 3D Modeling, AX and NX preferred 
    • Up to 50% travel.
