  • Overview

    Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of In-Line Inspection Workshop operations at assigned service facility in compliance with approved policies and in a manner that results in achievement of assigned objectives.



    Quality, HSE Standards (25%)

    • Ensures HSE rules and procedures are followed and the facilities comply with company, local, and governmental safety regulations,
    • Actively supports the Corporate HSE initiative by holding regular HSE meetings, maintaining a safe work environment, and promoting the use of PPE and safe work habits for employees, in compliance with the Corporate HSE plan,
    • Participates in emergency drills, training, and planning,
    • Reports incidents, participates in investigations, and initiates corrective actions as necessary,
    • Ensures compliance with established quality control/assurance procedures, while staff is performing field work, and addresses issues with internal and external personnel,
    • Communicates quality-related feedback to all employees,
    • Provides feedback to, and implements, safety and quality continuous improvement initiatives;

    Operational excellence (55%)

    • Ensures compliance to DOT, ITAR, and other regulations as required,
    • Oversees shipping of parts and equipment to job sites and other service locations,
    • Ensures shop equipment and tools are available to execute the run schedule,
    • Oversees the inventory of expendable materials, spare parts, and equipment, ensuring that all service equipment and vehicles are ready for use at all times,
    • Oversees tool inventory to ensure all tools in field service center are in good working order and ready for runs,
    • Ensures that tools are properly checked-in and checked-out during mobilization and demobilization,
    • Oversees tool teardown, tool cleaning, maintenance, tool recertification, and proper shelving of tools that are ready for the next run,
    • Ensures tools are built properly to operate reliability to maintain a high First Run Success Rate (FRSR),
    • Prepares monthly reports to management regarding quality, run volumes, training, safety, personnel, and KPI’s,
    • Implements continuous improvement projects within the team,
    • Ensures that employees are trained to perform job duties and necessary certifications are kept up to date;

    Team management (20%)

    • Selects, manages, evaluates, motivates, and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet Company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines,
    • Conducts performance reviews in accordance with the Performance Management Program, providing fair and accurate assessments of employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement, and possibility of future growth within the organization,
    • Develops a positive team dynamic to ensure high performance.


    • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience with electronics, soldering, CPUs, and cable making is a plus
    • 2-5 years of experience as a first line supervisor and/or inline inspection experience.
    • Pipeline industry experience and ILI inspection technology background strongly preferred,
    • Good leadership and organizational capabilities with proven ability to effectively manage others,
    • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including process development/5S, Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints,
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment,
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment,
    • Ability to obtain and maintain ITAR clearance / TWIC card,
    • Ability and willingness to carry a cell phone and be available after regular hours and during weekends & holidays,
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities,
    • Required travel 10-15%.
