  • Overview

    Manages the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) program for TDW operations in the eastern region, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Also ensures operations conduct activities in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. 


    • Develops and implements all HSE policies and procedures for TDW operations. 
    • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulatory codes and standards, including OSHA, EPA and DOT, and ensures compliance by Tulsa personnel. Conducts periodic observations/audits to ensure compliance.
    • Interacts with TDW customers and vendors to ensure maximum safety practices by Tulsa TDW personnel and subcontractors. 
    • Ensures that all incidents are properly reported, investigated, reviewed and followed up and participates in investigations of major failures and accidents. Takes necessary corrective action to eliminate any reoccurrences. 
    • Ensures all Tulsa shop and field operations risks are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans are implemented. 
    • Responsible for preparing, overseeing and conducting safety training to all personnel, including, to meet all governmental regulatory requirements.
    • Promotes HSE awareness through incentive, education, and promotional campaigns to all shop and services personnel. Motivates employees to take ownership of HSE program. Works closely with HSE Teams to maximize effectiveness of committees. 
    • Works closely with responsible management at all Tulsa locations to promote an attitude of safety among employees.
    • Actively supports the HSE initiative by holding HSE meetings in accordance with Corporate HSE Plan. Develops safe work environment and promotes the use of personal protective equipment and safe work habits for employees. Participates in emergency drills, training, inspections, and incident investigations. Reports incidents and initiates corrective action when necessary. Ensures housekeeping standards are adequate to ensure a safe work environment.


    • Safety engineering or technical degree preferred; equivalent experience in pipeline and field operations may be substituted for the degree.
    • Minimum of ten years’ shop production or pipeline safety experience.
    • Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA guidelines as they relate to TDW operations.
    • Familiar with governmental regulations.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to develop and conduct safety training programs.
    • Technical expertise sufficient to learn TDW business operations and identify safety concerns.
    • Possess strong ability to exercise sound judgment in safety related decisions.
    • Previously demonstrated ability to organize, lead, challenge, inspire, and develop people.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communications skills.
    • Should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel at the Intermediate level.
    • This position can be in Tulsa, Burgettstown, Charlotte or Conyers
    • Regular travel required.
