  • Overview

    Safely execute operation of pipeline systems in support of TDW Pipeline Services (PS) offerings during service work assignments to assure safe and proper use of equipment and satisfactory completion of the job.


    • Responsible for customer satisfaction and direct cost expenditures upon safe job completion
    • Utilizes at a high level electronic transmitter and receiver equipment to execute pipeline tracking services.
    • Ensures customer’s representatives are properly informed of TDW operating requirements for safest and most efficient completion of projects,
    • Performs handling, assembly, operations, benchmarking, and disassembly of pipeline equipment
    • Keeps up-to-date on all equipment maintenance and operational procedures to ensure safe, proper maintenance and use of equipment and satisfactory completion of job,
    • Maintenance of pipeline cleaning and tracking equipment Job paperwork, including but not limited to job expenses, time sheets, HSE paperwork, tracking sheets and Job daily reports shall be completed in a professional manner in a timeframe as agreed upon between the employee and his/her supervisor.
    • Maintains DOT “Operator Qualification” task requirements to work on regulated pipeline systems, as well as TDW’s OSHA 30, Basic Plus and other components of TDW's HSE curriculum as required.
    • Assists in project load-out / sign-in functions and assists with post-job maintenance of equipment in the shop.
    • Provides on-the-job training for other Field Technicians.


    • High School Diploma required, Associates Degree in engineering or other technical field preferred, and 1-2 years of mechanical, electronic, technical or pipeline experience preferred,
    • Meets required experience, skill, and behavior competencies for Field Technician → Senior Field Technician transition,
    • Comprehensive understanding of all TDW technologies, policies, and procedures,
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office, Delorme, etc. skill preferred,
    • Self-Starter, highly motivated and 100% dedicated to TDW’s Company goals.
    • Position requires 60-80% travel to locations throughout the United States, Canada, or other country as assigned.
    • Must have valid drivers’ license.
    • A commitment to safety, positive attitude, and strong capacity to work enthusiastically with fellow employees.
    • Must be able to lift and carry lightweight to heavyweight objects.
