  • Overview

    Develop leadership capabilities, hire the best people and implement all HR initiatives & programs for the assigned business units and/or regions in close collaboration with the Vice-President(s), Directors & General Managers that will enhance a high-performance culture & contribute to the company’s success.


    • Ensures that the level of leadership in the assigned region/division contributes to the company’s success by hiring the right leaders, working on ‘topgrading’ & bringing the internal leadership capabilities to the next level.
    • Works closely with HR Director & HR Corporate on providing the High Potentials with a development plan;
    • Works on implementation together with Corp, the direct manager & the HiPo. 
    • Succession Planning: Ensures that employees are recruited & developed to fill each key role to achieve our strategic goals & sustain competitive advantage. 
    • Topgrading recruitment: Hires the ‘best’. Spends time with the managers/leaders & recruiting team to hire the best talent for a specific role and not settling for second best. 
    • Performance management: Makes sure that global objectives are understood within the organization (division or region) & helps leaders & managers to cascade them throughout the organization. Make sure all individual objectives are SMART. Closely work with manager & leaders on giving & getting feedback (to their subordinates). Promotes the philosophy of building on and working with people’s strengths. 
    • Comps & Bens: Works closely with the Corp Comps & Bens Manager in clarifying positions (& updating job descriptions), for evaluation of positions & salary surveys. Implements Comps & Bens programs. 
    • Provides HR advice and service to management and staff; 
    • Makes recommendations on how to align the organization both with the company strategy and goals and implements all organizational changes together with the Operational leaders. 
    • Advises managers on counseling employees regarding performance issues, works closely with them in the resolution of difficult employment matters; 
    • Administers the employment activities including maintenance of personnel files, contracts and payroll to ensure the compliance with legal, social and tax aspects; 
    • Formulates and monitors conformance to the departmental budget, thereby contributing to cost control;
    • Administers a proactive employee relations program, emphasizing communication, teamwork and trust, 
    • May provide daily oversight to the facility management of the site.


    • University degree combined with minimum 8 years of experience in HR; international exposure desired. 
    • Experience in a Manufacturing and/or services environment 
    • Fluent in English, any other language is an asset. 
    • Driven and hands-on, business minded, flexible both in terms of judgment and in working time. 
    • Good organization skills and ability to manage different priorities. 
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within a multicultural environment, 
    • Good sense of judgment and assertiveness to enforce our HR philosophy and practices, 
    • Good understanding of the local labor laws and employment practices, 
    • Respect for confidentiality and discretion.
