  • Overview

    Assist the Finance manager with monthly accounting and reporting tasks and work with business unit management as a consultative business partner by coordinating their financial planning and analysis activities such as budgeting and forecasting for the business unit.


    • Oversee the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure they have been properly reconciled to the sub-ledger detail. Work closely with the other members of the accounting team as well as the department heads, and assist managers with explanations of variances of projections to plan and/or prior periods.
    • Provide management with reports and information needed to measure performance of departments within the business unit.
    • Coordinate with financial & operating management quarterly forecasts, as well as the annual budgets and the gathering of financial data necessary to compile consolidated financial projections.
    • Assist with the annual external audit and the preparation of audit schedules as needed.
    • Learn the duties of the other accounting team members to fill back-up role when needed.


    • Minimum 5 years of experience (prefer 7-10) in general accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and planning and/or Public Accounting.
    • Experience with ERP Systems and Business Performance Management Systems required.
    • Possess strong technical accounting skills, the ability to understand overall business operations and perform analytical reviews.
    • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team and with all levels of management.
    • Excellent computer skills with specific Microsoft Excel skills at the intermediate to expert level including pivot tables and basic knowledge of running and creating macros.
    • SQL and TM1 experience is a plus but not necessary but ability to learn these applications is needed.
    • Possess intellectual curiosity regarding processes and business operations and is flexible and able to adapt to change.
