  • Overview

    Provides support to the Pipeline Integrity Organization by functioning as the primary liaison between the sales staff and TDW internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met and proposals are accurate, complete and appropriate for the opportunity presented.


    • Prepares proposals and quotations for TDW Pipeline Integrity Products and Services in close collaboration with the Outside Sales Team and Project Managers,
    • Prepares RFQ (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) documents for high impact clients,
    • Provides Inside Sales support to In-Line Inspection (ILI), Pipeline Services (PLS), and Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) business units by offering technical information, pricing recommendations and contract negotiation,
    • Suggests guidelines for prices based on the price list or historical customer data,
    • Prepares cost and margin calculation for projects as needed,
    • Analyzes and distributes bid documentation to appropriate parties for review and feedback, ensures completeness and assimilates into final proposal,
    • Ensures that client’s needs on each proposal are clearly understood,
    • Identifies opportunities for additional products and services within proposal process,
    • Consults with TDW operations groups in the development of the quoting strategy used for Pipeline Integrity projects,
    • Coordinates the processing of Pipeline Integrity service contracts with the appropriate Regional Manager or TDW Operations group responsible for the execution of the project,
    • Processes orders in CRM system,
    • Organizes and updates all relevant files and records,
    • Maintains the Customer Relationship Management database accurately and on time,
    • Provides invoicing review support to the TDW Operations group executing the project to clarify quoted terms and conditions when required,
    • Recommends updates, modifications and redesign of existing proposal formats to ensure TDW provides competitive bids that are accurate and thorough to maintain leadership in the ILI market,
    • Advises Supervisor and Commercial Manager on system efficiencies that can be gained within the company,
    • Leads quotation system improvement initiatives to ensure appropriate information is captured to aid in understanding reasons for wins and losses, competitor status and hit rates,
    • Provides details on pricing, customer, technology and competitor trends,
    • Assists ILI Scheduling Operations with additional requests as needed,
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or certification from an accredited technical program, plus related experience is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree,
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-bound and complex proposals at a time is required, •Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly,
    • High attention to detail,
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office,
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills,
    • Experience in commercial financial bid preparation is desired but not required,
    • Experience in proposal generation in the oil and gas sector is desired but not required,
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other Enterprise Resource Planning system is desired but not required,
    • Working knowledge of in-line inspection is desired but not required
