  • Overview

    Disassemble and clean in-line inspection (ILI) tools, and components, in preparation for maintenance. 

    Responsibilities

    • Disassembles and cleans ILI tools in preparation for component maintenance, applying appropriate cleaning procedures based on the specific tool type,
    • Performs maintenance for and rebuilds mechanical assemblies under the guidance of a qualified Technician,
    • Maintains a clean, orderly work area, ensuring TDW safety standards are met,
    • Assists others by preparing, loading, and unloading ILI tools and support equipment for shipping and receiving, as directed by the Equipment Coordinator and/or Service Center Supervisor;
    • Ensures Service Center shop floor is maintained and entire shop area is neat and orderly, in compliance with TDW standards,
    • Sets up and installs furniture and partitions as needed,
    • Performs HSE housekeeping procedures as required,
    • Performs a daily Service Center walkthrough in order to ensure that all housekeeping and HSE Service Center policies and procedures are being appropriately applied;
    • Enhances and implements approved safety procedures to ensure the personal safety of all parties,
    • Effectively responds to internal customer requests and solves various shop-related problems, as they arise,
    • Develops the required experience, skill, and behavior competencies to become a TDW Shop Technician.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma
    • Mechanical or electronics training preferred
    • Two years of experience disassembling and maintaining mechanical components in a related field preferred
    • Ability to disassemble and build mechanical components utilizing instruction and mechanical drawings
    • Ability to convert between decimals and fractions
    • Familiarity with the safe application of small power and hand tools such as drills, hand and table saws, grinders, etc.
    • Ability to understand and execute the proper use of lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts to move tools within shop area
    • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English
