  • Overview

    Directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the various operating functions of Pipeline Services in accordance with Corporate policies, strategic goals and objectives.  Oversees safety, cost and productivity for Pipeline Services, U.S.


    Operational excellence (40%)

    • Develops and achieves annual operation plan, including operating and capital budgets, consistent with with Corporate goals and objectives. Ensures compliance of team in meeting plan, budget and objectives
    • Establishes and communicates quality-related objectives to all direct reports. Ensures understanding of of company quality policy at all levels.  Initiates, recommends and provides solution to resolve issues related to quality
    • Provides efficient operational capabilities to serve the markets identified by marketing in geographical areas of all regions within the time frame prescribed in the extended forecast. This role owns the design and scale of the operating model that will be needed to deliver the different services within the Solutions Operations team
    • In conjunction with Area Sales Manager, develops operational objectives for service operations
    • Drives a culture of high reliability safety and continuous improvement by developing strategies to enhance processes and systems
    • Reviews, analyzes, and reports on key operating performance indicators,
    • Ensures processes are in place to identify, assess, and manage execution risk associated with solutions jobs,
    • Develop relationships with key customers;

    Team management (50%)

    • Through delegation, manager is responsible for engineering, technical and quality assurance program for products and services (provided through service operations) to ensure compliance with TDW and customer quality standards. Responsible for periodic quality system review with management for adequacy and effectiveness
    • Directs immediate subordinates in the management of their assigned responsibilities to ensure that their operating plans and performance results are consistent with established goals and objectives
    • In conjunction with Area Sales Manager, develops operational objectives for service operations.
    • Selects, evaluates, motivates and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines. Conducts performance reviews, assess training needs and areas for improvement and work with employees to create development plans for growth within position, department and the organization
    • Ensure technical proficiency appropriate to meet customer and market requirements and service operations are conducted with a focus on safety, quality of service,
    • Actively participates and supports the mentoring and capability development of local staff,
    • Develops and maintains a high performing leadership team,

    Quality/HSE standards (10%)

    • Actively supports the corporate QHSE initiatives by holding HSE and quality meetings in accordance with corporate plan. Develops safe work environment and promotes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work habits for employees.  Participates in emergency drills, training, inspections and incident investigations.  Reports incidents and initiates corrective action when necessary.  Ensures housekeeping standards are adequate to ensure a safe work environment
    • Assists in the development of service quality objectives commensurate with TDW’s quality policy, which assures continued ISO certification.  Ensures all employees in adhere to the policy.


    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or related field,
    • Ten to twelve years of pipeline or related experience; 5 years managerial experience.
    • Knowledge of field operations and other functional disciplines, i.e., marketing, engineering, and finance. Strong contract administration skills required.
    • Previous management where the scope is broad enough to include setting objectives and development of necessary operating plans required to achieve desired result
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with demonstrated leadership skills,
    • Proficient in the use of personal computers, with Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge at the Intermediate level
