  • Overview

    Inspect all materials and products (incoming material, products at each production step and finished goods before delivery) and provide technical guidance to the production staff.

    Responsibilities

    Customers’ inspections (10%)

    - Assists the QC Coordinator to inspect and record measurements for material before and/or during inspections,

    - Supplies technical assistance (drawings, pressure tests, defect acceptance, tools and instruments),

    - Follows the packing of material to dispatch according to the customer requirements or TDW standards;

     

    Quality control (85%)

    - Ensures the follow-up of sub-contracted operations with specific survey,

    - Verifies the conformity of all incoming material with respect to drawings standards and specifications,

    - Records and edits all pressure test certificates,

    - Coordinates and maintains various databases, reports and files necessary to support the QC function,

    - Follows up the important orders according to the specific customer requirements,

    - Builds up technical files, compiles and updates technical documentation and information,

    - Supports the metrological survey and takes all the actions to keep tools and instruments in conformity with the ISO procedures and QA/QC recommendations,

    - Supports the Production and Warehouse departments for quality checks,

    - Verifies the dates of validity and hardness of sealing elements stored in the warehouse,

    - Marks our material with stencil and/or hard stamp in order to guarantee their traceability,

    - Follows and improves the rate of Dock to Stock,

    - Supplies certificates for tapping machines, PU, etc…,

    - Creates and updates Master files of check lists for internal and external controls (included sub-contractors),

    - Records in the IT system the quality checks requested by OT and OF,

    - Establishes non-conformity reports when necessary for incoming raw material and fabricated material including subcontracted jobs,

    - Insures short inspections and records return of material from the customer,

    - Assists the Services department for inspection of components for the Tapping Machines,

    - Participates to the weekly Material Review Board where non conformity reports are discussed, provides advises and ad hoc follow up,

    - Manages the quarantine zone and suggests the Quality Manager any scrapping of wrong material;

     

    Quality System development (5%)

    - Suggests and discusses with the Quality Manager all improvements of the Quality System,

    - Informs the Quality Manager of requested modifications in the processes and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing, 
    • Fluent in English and local languages will be an asset,
    • Good knowledge in machine design, drawings and QC activities,
    • Good organization skills, flexible, stress resistant and team spirit.
