  • Overview

    Develop manufacturing engineering documentation for production process and orders, designs best possible manufacturing schedule (Priority, lead time, quality, cost), provides Build of Materials & Manufacturing plants, operating procedures. Provide Welding documentation (Welding processes specification, Process Qualification or Report, certifications).Executes production plan and ensuring customer satisfaction and thereby improve the competitive position and profitability of the company.

    Responsibilities

    Manufacturing Engineering (60%)

     

    Develops technological documentation (BOM & Routes ,including on the basis of transfers, finished drawings and welding maps). Obtains required approvals and approvals process documents.

    Defines and organizes production chains and processes.

    Preparation of technical requirements for subcontract operations with simple drawings.

    Works with all kinds of technical documentation, internal and external.

     

    Organizes the current production planning, accounting, timely compilation and reporting.

    Rationally distributes the equipment load across the production workspace.

    Improves production, process, technology, mechanization and automation processes.

    Submits plant-wide applications for materials, tools, industrial equipment, personal protective equipment. Monitors their delivery and distribution. Provides costs feasibility. Monitor market technical trends and suggest new types of equipment.

    Anticipates the defects and improvement of the quality of products, saving all kinds of resources.

     

    Ensures Manufacturing, and Maintenance departments operate efficiently, maintain production and quality standards and accomplish unit and corporate objectives. Ensures timely preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment, facilities and buildings.

    At the stage of production organization obtains and sustains required certifications and manufacturing permits, including for production personnel.

     

    • Participates to “design reviews” with Engineering department and ensures that new products are aligned with our manufacturing capabilities,
    • Defines best suitable work centers, based on equipment’s constraints,
    • If required, defines the list of special tooling necessary to perform the operations,
    • Defines cycle time for each operations, based on available standards,
    • Defines in-process quality checks, together with QC department.
    • Defines standard work and tools, leads new equipment acquisition and new product introduction,
    • Develops and implement new tools,
    • Creates/updates manufacturing routings (list of operations, machines, tools, resources, cycle times),
    • Participates in product costing evaluation by providing standard cost references,
    • Analyzes complex processes from request for quotation to product delivery, by organizing process mapping sessions with the different stakeholders and understanding their daily issues;
    • Brainstorms to find “out of the box” solutions that fix the people issues, or significantly improve the process performance in terms of lead time, cost and value in the eye of the customer,
    • Designs and proposes process metrics that allow efficient process management,
    • Builds implementation plan by breaking down all necessary activities prior to go life with the new processes; 
    • Defines standard cutting/welding tools library and respective cutting/welding conditions,
    • Creates, tests and implements CNC programs (welding robots and CNC machines),
    • Provides internal training and regular support to operators,
    • Supports manufacturing supervision regarding cycle times required for the operations,
    • Participates in new machines definition and purchase,
    • Implements rapid improvements by conducting Kaizen events in office areas as well as in the workshop.

     

     

    Welding Engineering (40%)

     

    • At the stage of production organization obtains and sustains required welding certifications and permits, including for production personnel.
    • Defines welding process and develop welding processes specification and welding instructions base on local requirements.
    • Works in a workshop to define best welding parameters and improve processes.
    • Provides regular support to operators, on welding machine operations.

    Qualifications

    • Engineering degree in mechanics, with an experience of min 5 years in manufacturing environment and engineering role,
    • Experienced in the following tools : Total Protective Maintenance, 5S, Kanban
    • Good communication skills in Russian and English,
    • Stress resistant, well organized, empathic, pragmatic.
