  • Overview

    Produce world class HT&P technical training programs for internal HT&P technicians, other staff and external customers.

    Responsibilities

    Training delivery (45%)

     

    • Provides technical training to newly hired technician trainees,
    • Continues with periodic trainings through the Master Technician certification process,
    • Conducts training sessions in accordance with established standards to ensure that effective trainings are provided in a consistent and efficient manner,
    • Provides technical training for customers’ technicians both at TDW and on-site at customer location, 
    • Travels to customer locations and serves as a resource for further questions once training has concluded, 
    • Works in a team with other trainers and develop a training program/certification for Mechanics, 
    • Provides training classes with an introduction to HT&P operations for TDW salesmen and engineers, 
    • Ensures training classes comply with all Health, Safety and Environment requirements, and presents a positive HSE attitude to customers and students; 

    TDW technicians’ certification (25%) 

    • Sits on the Technician Review Board, and maintains technical training materials and records, ensuring all records are accurate, current and are in compliance with ISO quality standards and DOT regulations, 
    • Builds and maintains a mentoring relationship with trainees for the purpose of reinforcing training, 
    • Provides assistance with technical problems encountered on HT&P jobs, a source of support for a new or developing technician, 
    • Conducts periodic audit of technician's work and identifies areas for improvement, reviews technical field reports for completeness, and determines training needs and ensures training is completed in a timely manner;

    Reporting (20%) 

    • Goes on job-site to review/witness technician performance or assist with actual performance of job, may be required to perform as technician when work schedule requires additional technician expertise, 
    • Reviews training records and work history for HT&P technicians and ensures all records are current and that each training is properly recorded,
    • Prepares follow-up reports for all training classes and reviews evaluations for ways to improve classes,
    • Submits expense reports, training reports, audit reports and job records in a timely manner, 
    • Assists in designing training sessions that meet industry and TDW requirements and re-evaluates these sessions on an on-going basis to discover areas for improvement (including reading HT&P data to build presentations and tests); 

     

    New products development (10%)

     

    • Assists in new product and service testing to determine the viability of that product or service.

     

    Relationships with others: 

    • Reports to Training Supervisor, 
    • Maintains good relations with TDW technicians and assists them in their progression plan.

     

    Customer Orientation: 

    Understands the customer’s training requests, 

    Manages the training course to make the client satisfied, 

    Finds the best way to operate and adapt according to the customer’s culture.

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or equivalent,
    • Strong technical and interpersonal skills, 
    • A minimum of 2 years field operation experience with TDW HT & P equipment is a plus,
    • Knowledge in mechanics is a plus, 
    • Fluent in English is required.
    • Travel up to 75%

    HSE requirements: 

    • Follows the HSE policy by applying the instructions and procedures of the HSE manual, by participating actively in the Hazards and (Near-miss) Incident Identification and by behaving safety.

     

    ISO requirements: 

    • Follows the directives of the Quality System (ISO 9001) chosen by applying the instructions and procedures of the system as specified in the documents of: Level I Quality manual II Quality System Procedures III Instructions
