  • Overview

    Create Engineered-to-Order design packages for our pipeline equipment. Contribute to the team as the Technical Lead, applying sound engineering principles to develop, customize and/or sustain TDW products and services solutions for customer applications.


    • Develops new or customized product designs and improves existing technology under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
    • Assists in verifying and applying customer input and specification requirements to engineering design activity.
    • Documents design calculations, tolerance analysis, and concept development or detail design activities, with consideration to product maintenance and use.
    • Assists in the creation of product data packages to be uploaded to the Product Lifecycle Management platform.
    • Produces technical deliverables such as reports and presentations for the Manager, Product and Project Engineers, and other business units.
    • Identifies technical deliverables ( special testing reports, analysis reports, pressure testing reports, support the creation of 3D CAD models and engineering drawings ) for manufacturing, other Technical Leads, Product Engineers, and other necessary parties,
    • Independently carries out component and subassembly design tasks and produces test plans for the designs,
    • Works with Manufacturers and Technicians to identify production and assembly issues and provide corrective actions,
    • Communicates schedule, progress, and status to the Manager, Project Engineer or others,
    • Gains a working knowledge of all aspects of assigned technologies,
    • Documents and validates improvements for Engineering Change or Production Release, as needed.



    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
    • 3-8 years of engineering experience,
    • Proficient skills in 3D modeling, tolerance analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFMEA, manufacturing processes, problem solving tools, and machine design principles,
    • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DFM/A, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.),
    • Experience with a PLM system and engineering change processes,
    • Good written and verbal communication skills,
    • Familiarity with FEA software (simulation and ANSYS preferred),
    • Experience with ASME code knowledge and/or ETO experience are a plus
    • Demonstrated experience with solid modeling software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.),
    • Intermediate PLM software (e.g. TeamCenter, MasterControl) skills preferred,
    • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
