Manage the team that creates technical deliverables of build-to-order pipeline products in our Product Lifecycle Management system, TeamCenter. Provide technical leadership, schedule resources, and record the metrics of the development process for customer-specific products. Support the global internal and external customer base. Manage the Applications and Field Support efforts, coordinating with our sales business units and with quality assurance.


  • Develops customized product designs using the built-to-order process.
  • Leads the team to review and verify customer input requirements for completeness prior to initiating the technical activity and data set creation.   
  • Ensure the design calculations, tolerance analysis, and concept development or detail design activities are consistent and follow company’s guidelines,.
  • Supports the creation of product documents if needed (e.g., build and/or operating/maintenance manuals)
  • The team will produce technical deliverables (e.g., 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, test reports, analysis reports, etc.) for manufacturing. 
  • Lead the team to review the orders for special testing or certification requirements and mentor the development of testing procedures.  
  • Mentor the team in designing for manufacturability.   Works with manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain to identify production and assembly opportunities that will save time or costs or both.
  • Communicates schedule, progress, and status on a monthly schedule.
  • Assists as needed with research and development projects, 
  • Gains a working knowledge of all aspects of Pigging Product’s technologies, 
  • Initiates and/or facilitates the engineering change processes; 
  • Documents and validates completeness for Engineering Change or Production Release, as needed.
  • Review the Application support requests and field support requests and coordinate the tasks to be performed with TDW Services, Quality Assurance, the regions, and the Product Line team.
  • Be in contact with support personnel in the field and provide updates towards the completion of the field efforts.
  • Identify the deliverables and expectations of the field support efforts and help define the project scope.



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 
  • 3-8 years of engineering experience, 
  • Working detailed understanding of 3D modeling, tolerance analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFMEA, manufacturing processes, problem solving tools, and machine design principles, 
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DFM/A, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), 
  • Experience with a Product LifeCycle Management system and engineering change processes, 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, 
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis software (simulation and ANSYS preferred), 
  • Demonstrated experience with solid modeling software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.),
  • Experience with TeamCenter is a plus, 
  • Experience in ASME code knowledge, and/or build-to-order experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
