Overview

Under the guidance of senior electronic technician or engineer, assemble electronic components used in In-Line Inspection (ILI) equipment by following proper electrical and mechanical principles and practices using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, software and appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

ILI Tool Electronic Assembly (90%)

  • Utilizes mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to prepare and assemble electronic/mechanical assemblies,
  • Using IPC standards, solder components and cables to assemblies with both surface mount and through hole applications,
  • Under guidance of senior electronic assembler, programs, tests and troubleshoots cable assemblies for functionality,
  • Follow mechanical and electrical work instructions to correctly assemble electronic assemblies in a repeatable process,
  • Under guidance of engineering and/or Senior electronic technician, assists in the development, assembly and testing of new design ILI assemblies,
  • Learn how to Run Environmental test chamber, analyze and interpret data,
  • Learn how to operate laser and wire cutting machines,

  • Learns and follows all safety protocols, rules and practices to ensure safety of self and others,
  • Becomes familiar with operational procedures, arena, work instructions, and generally accepted assembly practices,

  • Demonstrates a team player attitude.

Qualifications

  • IPC Certified,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures within Electronic Technology,
  • Basic understanding of IPC soldering requirements and practical application within department,
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble products with consistent output using work instructions,
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new processes, functions and practices in an ever changing environment,
  • Assemble complete assemblies under the guidance of senior electronic assembler,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel skills
