  • Overview

    Designs, implements, and modifies applications and graphical user interfaces for pipeline inspection data and results.


    Development (100%)

    • Applies knowledge of software engineering principles to design software applications and graphical user interfaces.
    • Applies creative problem solving skills to a variety of software projects.
    • Enjoys working with scientists and engineers to create innovative solutions.
    • Designs software applications based on interactions with users, written specifications, and engineering management direction
    • Provides technical support to internal program users.
    • Maintains and debugs existing software applications.
    • Estimates durations for application development and meets deadlines.
    • Frequent contact with internal customers, including data analysts, production technicians, and field service technicians.
    • Willingness to work with various reporting platforms.
    • Plans and tracks project progress using designated project software.


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Has excellent knowledge of object oriented programming, test driven development, and software development life cycle.
    • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
    • Experience with .Net framework.
    • Experience with the C++ programming language. Experience with Qt, OpenGL, and Boost is a plus.
    • Experience with the C# programming language and WPF development.
    • Solid understanding of relational databases, i.e. SQL server.
    • Experience with Python and mathematical language a plus.
    • Experience with ReST interfaces is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Customer Service skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Desire to work and gain knowledge in Oil and Gas Pipeline Integrity industry.
