Coordinates the work of the electronics, sensors, systems, and mechanical assembly groups (includes sensor assembly, PCB and electronic component production and testing). Development of production personnel. Develops and implements methods to effectively achieve economical, timely and quality production.
Utilizes mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to prepare and assemble electro/mechanical parts,
Assists in the assembly and testing of production released and design released ILI Systems and support equipment including development input and modifications under engineering direction,
Utilizes appropriate processes, procedures, forms and software used in manufacturing ILI Systems, equipment and sub-assemblies to meet quality, safety and enterprise resource management requirements,
Assists in the cleaning, disassembly, repair and upgrade installation to existing equipment;
Performs general inspections, maintenance and service of department equipment and machinery within HSE compliance requirements. Solders electronic components, including fine patch SMT and through hold onto printed circuits boards,
Connects wire harnesses to circuit boards, builds test equipment, and crimps wire leads,
Uses various epoxies for silicone bonds and encasing circuit boards,
Ensures that HSE rules and procedures are followed by all employees in the department and that the facilities are in compliance with local and governmental safety regulations,
Ensures the development and achievement of quality objectives as related to TDW’s quality policy.
Analyzes and appraises (regularly and systematically) the effectiveness of the assembly and electronics operations to ensure that established objectives are met, corporate policies observed, and prompt corrective action taken when necessary,
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develops assembly methods and procedures
Coordinates assembly operations, and specifies processes and equipment to ensure production schedules, specifications and quality standards are met, Manages floor stock inventory and oversees all shop supplies to facilitate timely production,
Initiates and justifies requests for machinery and equipment (working again with Manufacturing Engineering),
Coordinates with production sections to have products moved back and forth for subassembly and assembly operations until the product is completed as scheduled.
Bachelors degree in related field or 5-7 years equivalent training/experience
Process improvement experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S desired
Good leadership and organizational capabilities,
Ability to exercise sound judgment,
Excellent verbal and written communication.
