Sales and Application Engineer II

Apply sound engineering principles, judgment, and discipline in order to ensure the timely development of TDW product for technical applications solutions and troubleshooting to meet customer needs.


Technical Support (60%)

  • Completes technical feasibility assessment and detailed engineering reviews for all non-standard quotes,
  • Reviews and analyzes customers' requests from a safety, technical, and field execution perspective,
  • Coordinates or initiates special products/equipment design, modification/fabrication, and testing for special applications,
  • Conducts job walk and pre-assessment site visits at customers' locations, as needed,
  • Serves as technical interface with ETO, Technology Development and/or other applications engineers for engineered applications and troubleshooting,
  • Improves technical knowledge by reviewing technical papers/literature and attending appropriate seminars and workshops, looking for ways to apply the latest technology to TDW products and services,
  • Maintains effective documentation of technical discussions with internal and external clients,
  • Participates in kick-off meetings with customers in order to answer technical queries and clarify roles and responsibilities on the project;

Sales Support (20%)

  • Reviews and prepares quotations, for both HT&P and pigging products,
  • Assists the Regional and Inside Sales teams prepare of quotes to ensure practicality and profitability of the projects,
  • Uses customers’ technical specifications in order to analyze job pre-orders from a technical point of view,
  • Liaises with Engineering and customers to review client specifications;

Job Preparation (20%)

  • Creates order numbers at PO receipt and reviews information from quotation stage,
  • Liaises with customers to find out missing information,
  • Liaises with engineering to submit drawings as per client requirement / follow the approval process
  • Maintains accurate and current order information (Sales Order, Questionnaires/Drawings),
  • Liaises with VST’s to ensure most efficient lead times, while meeting customers’ specifications.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or applicable Engineering discipline,
  • Professional Engineering registration / license (PE) preferred,
  • Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience,
  • Knowledge of pipeline codes and / or operations preferred,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required, any additional languages preferred,
  • Ability to travel (internationally and domestically), up to 10% of the time.
