  • Overview

    Organizes and directs the Canadian-wide activities of the Pipeline Integrity Operations in accordance with corporate policies, strategic goals, and objectives and in compliance with local rules and regulations in order to achieve customer satisfaction.



    Operations Management (30%)

    • Assists in the development and implementation of the operational business plans, strategies and organization design that are consistent with short- and long-term objectives of TDW.
    • Formulates and manages departmental budget and monitors capital expenditures to maximize return on investment,
    • Supervises direct reports in the management of their assigned field projects to ensure that their runs are performed within budget, on time, and performance results are consistent with established goals and objectives while meeting customer expectations.
    • Ensures technical proficiency appropriate to meet customer and market requirements, and that regional operations are conducted with a focus on safety and quality for the service offered.
    • Maintains a strong partnership with customers by understanding and responding to their implicit and explicit needs. Ensures that solutions are supplied to meet customer’s business needs.

    Continuous Improvement (30%)

    • Ensures continuous process improvement within the region in order to maximize efficiency and responsiveness.
    • Collaborates closely with Global Operations & Systems Support to implement Visual Management System for Field Operations. 
    • Ensures compliance with ANDON reporting protocol and diligent follow-up to identify root cause(s) and establish robust corrective actions.

    Team Management (30%)

    • Selects, evaluates, motivates, develops, and trains employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with equal opportunity and foreign employment guidelines as applicable
    • Conducts performance reviews according to schedule, providing fair and accurate assessment of employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement, and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensures training and development needs are addressed.


    Quality/HSE Standards (10%)

    • Responsible for the field operating procedures and quality safety programs to ensure the services provided are in compliance with TDW and customer’s standards.
    • Ensures that HSE rules and procedures are followed by all employees in the region and that appropriate guidance and training are provided for services operations.
    • Assists in the development of service quality objectives commensurate with TDW’s quality policy, and ensures all employees in the region adhere to the policy.




    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
    • Minimum ten years of diversified business-related experience, including management responsibility where the scope was broad enough to include setting objectives and developing operating plans required to achieve desired results.
    • Well versed in the body of knowledge and successful deployment of Continuous Improvement initiatives including: LEAN, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Cause-Effect methodologies, and Root Cause Analysis.
    • Knowledge of field operations and other functional disciplines, i.e., marketing, engineering, contracts, liabilities/risk, and finance is preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Proficient in the use of personal computers, with Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge at the Intermediate level
