Performs a variety of general accounting and financial reporting activities necessary for the US & Canada Business Unit to better manage their business segments. Execute in-depth financial analysis to explain variances between trends and actual results of business unit. Assist in the budgeting and planning process for US & Canada.


Technical Accounting and Policies & Procedures (40%)

  • Participates in activities related to accounting, internal financial controls, and external audit for the HT&P, Pipeline Services, and NDE activities of the business unit, with support of US & Canada Finance.
  • Ensures adequate books and records are maintained and accounting systems are in place for the legal entities within the scope of responsibility for the business unit.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures and local legal requirements.
  • Continues to learn and maintain knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and related technical literature.
  • Reviews and analyzes jobs in process and record monthly entries as needed.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements related to all functional areas.
  • Manage the calculation, reporting and payment of TDW Salesmen commissions.
  • Ensures correct reporting of resale inventory including review monthly counts, cycle counts and reconciliation of ledger to sub-ledger.

Financial Reporting & Analysis (35%)

  • Ensures the timely review and analysis of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for legal and management reporting of HT&P, Pipeline Services, PPD, and NDE within the business unit.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in the operating and financial results (revenue, margins, cost structure, accounts receivable, inventory, etc.).

Business Partnering (25%)

  • Provides analysis insight, context, and perspective to support HT&P, Pipeline Services, PPD, and NDE business partners, specifically working with US & Canada Service Center Managers.
  • Supports and advises business partners in the use of accounting and operating systems.
  • Performs sales compensation calculation, analysis, and reporting.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and planning experience desirable,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • Excellent computer skills with specific Microsoft Excel experience at the Advanced level.
  • Ability to grasp other applications as needed, preferred experience in AX and TM1.
  • Analytical thought processes and creative thinking (outside the box) for answers.
