Produce Engineering Drawings in accordance with TDW standards (GD&T and Mold Centric Drawing Standards) complying with PDM/PLM requirements. Work with Engineers to assure adequacy and accuracy of Drawings and other technical communication methods.
Works from solid models, sketches, or verbal instructions to prepare neat, clear, accurate and complete dimensional drawings and layouts, for new products and/or improvements for existing products.
Assure all Engineering changes comply with TDW drawing, PDM, and PLM standards
Makes changes and/or revisions to existing drawings as requested.
Frequently checks drawings of others, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the drawing, so that TDW products can be produced according to specifications and function as designed.
Checking all dimensions and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
Ensuring the drawings meet the requirement of the TDW drafting and design standards
Ensuring all Engineering specifications are met.
Ensuring the drawing contains all the necessary procedures required for fabricatin, finishing, inspection, testing and any other special requirement as applicable.
Ensuring that bill of material structuring is compatible with the TDW PLM.
Assists in Engineering verification activities.
Makes necessary calculations per design standard, codes or project engineers.
Minimum of a High school diploma plus associates degree in field related to mechanical drafting, design, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
CAD experience or training (Solid Works preferred).
Minimum of three years’ technical experience in Mechanical Design (Electrical Design experience also a plus)
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes plus a good mechanical and mathematical aptitude
